Selection of Advisorand Advisory Committee First Semester   Dissertation committee will have a total of 3 members, including your primary advisor:-  (2) Mechanical Engineering Professors (one can be student advisor)- (1) Outside of Mechanical Engineering
Plan of Study Second Semester MSME Plan of Study Must include:30 hours of credit beyond the baccalaureate degree including at least:- At least 12 hours of MEGR coursework- 3 hours of graduate level mathematicsFor thesis/creative design project option:- 6 hours of research/thesis credits AND 9 hours of graduate-level engineering electivesFor problem report option:- 3 hours of MEGR 7892 AND 12 hours of graduate-level engineering electivesFor coursework only option:- 15 hours of graduate-level engineering electives – a comprehensive exam is REQUIRED with this option
Transfer of Credit/Early Entry Students **For transfer students wishing to apply credit from an another institution, or as part of the Early Entry Program   Please consult with the Graduate Student Services Specialist for assistance with transfer of credit – no more than 6 credit hours may awarded as part of the transfer credit process

Graduation Information

Student must list all classes and grades for the MSME program for a total of 30 credit hours. Form must be approved and signed by the Graduate Coordinator. Submit form to department –form forwarded to graduate school.
Schedule Thesis/Report Defense, or Comprehensive ExamSubmission of Thesis/Report Abstract Prior to defense   Visit department for scheduling assistance. Email the Graduate Coordinator and Student Services Specialist with the following details for public announcement:- Defense day, time, and location.- Primary advisor- Thesis Title and Abstract

Report of Comprehensive Exam, Thesis or Project Defense

Grade Change Form

Submit completed defense report with signatures to department – form forwarded to graduate school. Change of grade for IP courses will be submitted to the Registrar’s Office following submission of successful defense report.
