Rahul Upadhyay Awarded Graduate School Thesis Award

The Department of Mechanical Engineering and Engineering Science is proud to announce that MS student, Rahul Upadhyay, has been awarded the Graduate School’s Outstanding Master’s Thesis Award in Mathematics, Physical Science & Engineering, for his thesis, “An experimental and computational study of the effect of Bioceramic Porosity on Drug Release Kinetics.”  In his letter announcing the award, Graduate School Dean Tom Reynolds noted, “Your work was cogent and important, adding to the literature in your field.”

As a winner in this year's Master's Thesis competition, Rahul will receive a plaque, as well as a cash award of $200. In addition, his thesis will be submitted to the Council of Southern Graduate School's regional competition.
